On the left hand side of the Main Control panel of USB Flash Backup we can see a list which is called a directory tree. This tree will allow you to navigate through files and folders on your computer. In the example above I have chosen a file (by holding down my left mouse button on the item) named "Example.txt". I continue to hold down the left mouse button and drag the file "Example.txt" to the backup items list. Which can be see by clicking here.
