The next section of the guide covers some common problems that you may have when using USB Flash Backup. These are usually incorrect settings in your profile or program settings.
I have plugged in my USB device and no backup has been made?
1) Check that you have the program switched on in the main control panel. Click here and take a look at figure 5.
2) Check your program setting and see how the program is selecting a profile. Click here and check figures 4,3,12
3) Check that your drive label is correct. If figure 6 is checked in the profiles options menu then the drive label MUST match the Text field in he profiles options menu. Click here to see that window.
4) Check that the drive has enough free space.If the drive doesn't have enough free space then you will receive a warning like this.
5) Very simply, but check you have items in your backup list. If not you will receive this message.
6) Make sure you have not deleted you Backup Items off the PC. If so you will see a message like this.
I would like to add a new profile, how do i do that?
Very simple just click on the profile manager from the main control panel. For a full example click here.
I am receiving an error message that safe remove was not successful, what should I do?
This error message will display if the device could not be safely removed automatically. This is maybe because another program is using the device or the operating system is not compatible with this feature. In either of these cases you should manually SAFELY REMOVE the USB device by clicking on the USB icon in the system tray.
I have already plugged in my USB device, do I have to unplug it and then plug it in again to make a backup?
No, not at all. Click on BACKUP NOW in the main control panel which will take you to this window.
I am still having problems what should I do?
Go back to the "GETTING STARTED" area of the manual and try again.
