The profile options window is used to set up and store the settings for each individual profile. USB Flash Backup has been designed to work for more than one user on a pc and each profile can have its own unique set of profile options. All the features are explained below. When the window is closed you will return to the Main Control Panel Window.
Rewrite Files
When rewrite files is selected the program will rewrite files with the same names with the new file.
When smart backup is checked the program will only backup new in your backup list. If rewite files is also checked the program will also backup and changed files with the new ones. Any files that are not new or changed will not be backed up.
When the create folder is checked, the program will create a time and date stamped for your backups. Each time the program backs up it will create a new folder which can be easily identified by the time and the date.
When compress data on the fly is checked the program will automatically compress your backup items which will saved space on your usb drive or storage device.
When check for free space is checked, the program will check your USB flash drive for suitable storage space for your backup items. If enough space is available your items will be backup, if not you will receive a warning message.
When backup only to this drive is checked, the program will check the usb devices label. If the label matches the drive named in text area (9) then your backup will be made. If the label doesn't match then no backup is made. This feature is great if you would just like to backup to a certain USB drive or you could also use it in an office or family environment when each user has different USB Flash drives.
