Basic Options

Smart Backup is a very intelligent part of USB Flash Backup. It will backup new files and folders in your backup list. Also if "Rewrite Files" is checked the program will also copy any modified files. (Now that's a smart feature)I have checked this option in my example profile above.

If you check this feature, the program will overwrite any files with the same name in your default backup folder. So for example if I am backing up a document called "Example.doc" and "Example.doc" exists in my default folder on the USB Storage device, it will automatically be replaced with the newer version of he document. In the example above I have chosen to use this feature in the example profile we are setting up.

The compress data option will ZIP your backed up files automatically without the use of any other software. We do not recommend using this function if your are backing up videos or pictures. If you need to unzip your backed up files then you will need to use a ZIP archiver like WinZIP.
